The project is focused on a fragile and threatened area in the heart of the Congo Basin: the Lomako Reserve. The aim is to draw up an ecological inventory of bird populations belonging to the Congo Peacock, to describe the vocalizations of bonobos and the ecology of these two groups of mammals and birds by means of direct field observations and data collected using new bioacoustic tools. The aim is to try and understand how this and data collected using new bioacoustic tools. The aim is to try and understand how this ecosystem functions, in order to identify all the resources likely to guide the development and management of this natural area. The aim of the research is to carry out an alternating characterization (ecology, abundance), train rangers in bioacoustics, raise awareness characterization (ecology, abundance), train rangers in bioacoustics, raise awareness among local communities and carry out a study of acoustic signals that would, among other things, enable us to locate the individuals producing them by means of cartographic modeling of sound propagation.
